Makes a healthy snack for 4
INGREDIENTS
4 apples (Granny Smith or Honey Crisp work great)
2 tablespoons honey
2 teaspoons cinnamon
Optional: red pepper flakes
DIRECTIONS
- Cut each apple in half and remove core. Slice into thin slices – about 1/4 inch wide – and place them on a plate.
- Drizzle honey over apples, and carefully sprinkle cinnamon over apples. If using, add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
- At this point, you can either serve the apples, add them to a pan and sauté them until tender, or place them in a baking dish and bake for 20 minutes at 350oF.
