Mister Ritz Learns How to Pollinate Plants with Michał Słota
Mister Ritz is surprised to find The Great Bombini, a busy bee, buzzing around his classroom, pollinating the flowers. Curious and eager to learn, Mister Ritz discovers the vital role of pollinators like bees in the food chain. The Great Bombini shows Mister Ritz how he and his students can pollinate flowers too!
Mister Ritz Learns About Plant Roots with Michał Słota
Mister Ritz enters his classroom to find Patti and Pierre, two pigeons, who alert him to a problem with one of his Tower Gardens. They investigate the Tower Garden and discover that the basil plants are wilting, and the water isn’t flowing. After checking various components, they find that the pump is clogged with plant roots. Mister Ritz explains the importance of plant roots and how they anchor the plant, absorb water and nutrients, and store food. He shows Patti and Pierre how to trim the roots to prevent clogs and encourages students to be plant barbers for healthy Tower Gardens.
Mister Ritz Learns All the Parts of a Plant with Michał Słota
Mister Ritz makes basil pesto at the mobile classroom kitchen, using basil leaves harvested from Tower Gardens. Leslie the Ladybug joins him and is curious about the discarded plant parts. Mister Ritz takes the opportunity to teach Leslie about the different parts of a plant, from roots to flowers, and how they work together. Leslie gains a newfound appreciation for the complexity and harmony of nature’s superheroes, the plants, and Mister Ritz emphasizes the importance of exploring and learning about the natural world.
Mister Ritz Starts Seeds in Rockwool with the Tower Garden® Princess
Mister Ritz is diligently planting trays of seedlings in rockwool when Leslie the Ladybug joins to help. Accidentally using a magical golden watering can, they summon the Tower Garden Princess, who imparts valuable advice on seedling care, including the importance of soaking rockwool, planting the right number of seeds, and using a nutrient solution. Mister Ritz and Leslie learn to nurture healthy seedlings in the art and science of Tower Gardening.

As Mister Ritz dismisses his class Patti the Pigeon stays behind to ask him about the new strange looking tower garden – the Home unit. When Pierre the Pigeon returns from a journey to Tennessee he gifts Mister Ritz a golden watering can. The Tower Garden Princess magically appears from the watering can and answers questions about Tower Garden maintenance, pruning plants, and harvesting tips. What will you grow?
Mister Ritz Learns to Measure Liquids in a Tower Garden®
Mister Ritz comes back from vacation and finds the plants in his Tower Garden yellowing. He and Leslie find the reservoir empty and fill it back up with 20 gallons of water. They compare units of liquid measurement and add the specified amount of nutrients per gallon.

We’re so excited to launch a new addition to our video learning series with ingredients harvested RIGHT off our Tower Garden to create child-tested and approved, easy-to-assemble, delicious recipes in less than six minutes.
“Let’s Learn” is a one-hour, daily educational public television series featuring lessons by educators with expertise in teaching young learners. Designed to supplement at-home and blended learning, the series is produced by The WNET Group in partnership with the New York City Department of Education.
