Our global reach

What started in one classroom in the South Bronx has grown into a global movement of students, teachers, and communities around the world. Today, Green Bronx Machine’s Classroom Curriculum and technology is used in schools across the United States, as well as in Japan, Canada, UAE, Italy, Spain, Mexico, Ecuador, and throughout Latin America and Europe.

Our home-base in the Bronx, the National Health, Wellness & Learning Center at Community School 55 serves as a living laboratory and global training hub, facilitating the replication of our model in thousands of schools across the United States and around the world.

Impact by the numbers

Children should not have to leave their neighborhood to live, learn, and earn in a better one. As part of our data-driven approach, we rigorously track student outcomes, school performance, and community health to ensure that our programming continues to deliver results and exceed expectations.

What our community says

“Every kid should be involved in it. The Green Bronx Machine program [has] the best after school program [at] C.S. 55. I’m really grateful for this program because it’s taught my granddaughter so much: how to eat healthy food, how to cook healthy. She’s even taught the family about healthy foods.”

Carmen, Grandparent

“My son had trouble in school, and Green Bronx Machine has always been open for him, has always welcomed him. He makes better choices now, like when we go to the store.”

Ms. Aponte, Parent

“My daughter comes home excited to share what she did in school. I went to the same school, and I can honestly say, we did not have a program like this. To have this now is amazing.”

Octavia, Parent

“We fed all 750+ students a healthy, locally grown meal… Clean plates and healthy smiles are our signature, and the children LOVED the meal.”
