Green Bronx Machine built the first ever commercial farm fully staffed and run by foster-care youth. This hydroponic vertical farm, built in a specialized green house in Appalachia, is a completely commercial endeavor and will provide living-wage employment opportunities along with 21 tiny homes for foster-care youth who are aging out of the system. In a community that has no grocery store or access to healthy food, this is a revolutionary workforce development model that will flood the community with healthy, fresh, nutritious food all year long.
